As one of the founders of Project Dandelion, I am pleased to share some reflections on what we observed and responded to in 2024 and how we envision our work in the new year. We’ve spent 2024 proving something powerful: the appetite for meaningful action at the intersection of climate and nature has never been greater.
As we close one year and step into the next, it’s natural to pause and take stock. What have we accomplished? What do we need to prioritize in the year ahead?
Here’s What We Achieved in 2024
We Built Connection: Nearly 300 partner organizations — representing voices from grassroots movements to decision-making halls — joined forces, reaching 250 million people with a commitment to unified, strategic action.
We Sparked Visibility: The Dandelion pin, a symbol of resilience and regeneration, is now worn by more than 10,000 leaders, amplifying stories of courage and hope on global stages.
We Shared Hope: With the backing of major foundations and incredible individuals, we launched campaigns showcasing how close we are to a clean energy future. By spreading stories of solutions, we reminded the world that action is not just possible — it’s already happening.
Here’s What We Learned
The solutions we need to address the climate crisis already exist. The tools, technologies, and ideas are out there — being tested and refined by communities on the frontlines. The challenge isn’t invention; it’s connection.
That’s where Project Dandelion comes in. We are the bridge — the connective tissue uniting innovators, grassroots organizers, and policymakers so that solutions can scale and systems can change.
This work has never been more urgent, and it has never been more hopeful.
