A Conversation About 'Becoming a Dangerous Woman' in Church

Who would have believed I’d been having a conversation about becoming dangerous in a church?

Rev. Ed Bacon, rector at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta, GA, is not only someone I’ve known and admired for a long time, but he is also one of the most thoughtful, inclusive, inspiring people I know. To be interviewed by him was a gift.

I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to share my book’s call to action with a congregation that is already committed to social justice; to encourage already engaged women and men to speak out against the rise in sexism, racism, and the rollbacks on rights and the increasing polarization — all dangers that need daring and bold responses; and to use our collective power and privilege to lead for positive change.

My ’sermon’ this morning and my mission every day.
