Women Moving Millions Commits $100 Million to Accelerate Gender Equity

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Mona Sinha, board chair for Women Moving Millions (WMM). Mona is an advocate for gender equality in business and society organization, and uses business tools to build organizational capacities for sustainability that unlock the economic potential of women/girls across different sectors.

Women Moving Millions is a community of 340 individuals who each make a minimum $1M commitment to organizations and initiatives benefiting women and girls. Together, they represent a new era of resources by and for women, using the power of their voices and influence to inspire others to invest with a gender lens.

Together, we discussed the $100 million commitment Women Moving Millions made at the Generation Equality Forum, the historical lack of funding and support for woman-led startups and woman-owned businesses, and how the WMM commitment will impact lives under their 5 focus pillars: education, healthcare, public safety, legal rights, and economic empowerment.

What’s beautiful about this is the intersectionality of it all. At some point, they all come together and have this multiplicity of impact.
